Religious Western Ceremony                                          Price 12,000 Baht

There are two Catholic churches on Samui. The Catholic wedding is a sacred ritual. The priest always encourages couples to have their wedding at the altar in a Catholic church. But we can invite him to perform a Catholic Wedding Rite on the beach if you wish.

Non Religious Ceremony                                                       Price 10,000 Baht

A very simple ceremony designed for couples to create their own beach wedding experiences, through the exchange of their own personal vows, with the background of sunset, sand and sea. We have an English speaking Master of Ceremony to guide you, in the presence of your wedding party, or a few witnesses chosen by you, or just the two of you.

These packages include the beach bower, bridal bouquet, groom's buttonhole and the services of a priest or Master of Ceremonies.

Wedding at sea

We also have the Big John tour boat. Your wedding ceremony could be conducted on board with Koh Samui in the background, or in the beautiful surroundings of the Angthong Marine Park.                                             

We can carry up to 50 passengers, so plenty of room for guests and friends.

This is a lovely ceremony which takes about an hour and is conducted in a nearby temple. Monks are not allowed to perform the ceremony outside the monastery.

9 monks are invited for the ceremony in the Monastery’s chapel. The bride and groom light the candles and joss sticks then sit close to each other facing the nine monks. Circled holy strings are draped on the bride and groom’s heads which connected to the holy string in the monks’ hands. This symbolizes the spiritual union of the bride and groom. The monks chant prayers for health, happiness and prosperity in the ancient language. Then the Head Monk blesses the bride and groom with the holy water. The ceremony  ends with the bride and groom offering alms and flowers and then going to the meal hall to offer food to all monks.

We provide transport, flower garlands, alms and offerings together with the ceremony in this package.                              

Please note that we prefer time to discuss and prepare the final details to make your special day as perfect as possible. For this we like you to stay at Big John Beach Resort for at least 3 nights by checking in at least 2 days before the actual wedding.
